Our funding target includes the purchase price for the church – achieved at £325,000 – £250,000 for essential upgrades and around another £50,000 to fit out the venue for its new uses – and we are still on the journey towards funding all of this. Wondering where we anticipate the funds for this transformative project to come from? Here’s a breakdown:

• The Government’s Community Ownership Fund have committed £250,000 to purchase and upgrade
• Gloucestershire County Council provided a grant of £100,000 towards purchase
• Local individuals, charitable trusts and businesses have together committed nearly £130,000. 
• Donations so far have raised an additional £10,500 in Gift Aid.
• Since we completed on the purchase, we have submitted some new funding applications and are waiting for outcomes on these while we prepare more!

This journey has been a monumental testament to the community spirit of Winchcombe. Thank you, one and all.
